• At 1330 metres above sea level, Guyra is the highest town on the tablelands and only a two hour drive to the coast near Coffs Harbour.

Activities

• For the history buff, there is the local museum in the main street and the antique machinery museum at the railway station. There are also three historic, preserved railway stations at Black Mountain, Guyra and Ben Lomond.
  
• The shopping area boasts a fine range of retail shopping experiences from boutiques and speciality shops to food and coffee outlets.
  
• To stay a while, you have a choice of accommodation from motels and the caravan park to farmstays, bed and breakfasts, and boutique country accommodation associated with trout fishing.
